Volunteer with PSI of Washington to Help Families in Need

PSI of WA is run solely by volunteers, and without the commitment and dedication of this wonderful group of individuals we would not be able to go forward. We are continually looking for individuals to join our team who have a passion for helping to support and educate others in the community about the devastating effects that Postpartum Mood Disorders can have on women and families if unnoticed and untreated.

PSI of WA is currently accepting applications for the following Board of Director's positions.

• Chairperson
• Support Group Coordinator
• Marketing Coordinator

PSI of WA Board members commit to one year of service in which they attend monthly Board meetings in the Greater Puget Sound region.

PSI of WA is also seeking phone volunteers to operate our Postpartum Mood Disorder Warm Line. Qualified candidates should have completely recovered from a Postpartum Mood Disorder and should not currently be at risk for a Perinatal Mood Disorder. Spanish speaking volunteers are highly encouraged to apply. Phone volunteers commit to a minimum of six months of service and must have flexibility in scheduling.

PSI of WA is also in need of postpartum support group facilitators in areas all around the state. Support group facilitators are provided training and support materials. This position requires a long-term commitment to the group.

We often have other important projects that require attention as well, and welcome those who wish to serve as Volunteers at Large, taking on various tasks as needed.

The PSI of WA Board of Directors and Advisory Committee offer continued support and guidance to our volunteers. Active volunteers meeting service standards are offered honorary membership with PSI of WA.

We highly encourage anyone interested in exploring volunteer opportunities with PSI of WA to leave a message for our Volunteer Coordinator at 1.888.404.7763.
