Thurston County, Tumwater. Meets every Thursdays from 10-11 am at the Heart of Wellness in Tumwater WA and it is by donation but no one is turned away. Also, it is helpful to have new participants call Tammy Putvin for a check in before attending, 360.349.2346.

Whatcom County, Bellingham. FREE.  Bellingham PPD Support Group, providing a safe and confidential place for women to share their experience with PPD..  First Friday of the month 7-9pm in the basement of the Birth Center located at 2430 Cornwall Ave.  Facilitated by Denise Sone.

Conscious Fathering. Offered at various locations in King and Pierce Counties. Contact the Conscious Fathering program at Parent Trust for more information. Offers "Skills for New Dads" classes for expectant and new fathers.

The goal of the program is to provide basic infant care skills and encouragement to men on the eve of fatherhood. By providing the male partner with knowledge of how to care for and nurture his infant child he will be better equipped to create a strong positive bond with his new baby and strive for equal responsibility when parenting.

New Parent Services- Bellevue- provides many servies to pregnant and postpartum families, including:
"Listening Mothers." Small groups for new mothers and their babies designed to help mothers adjust to parenthood and develop secure attachment with their babies.

"Bringing Baby Home." Workshops for expecting and new parents. This program, designed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, helps you maintain a strong relationship with your partner while giving your baby solid, consistent love and care.

"Reflective Parenting Workshop." This Parenting Workshop is for parents with children 1-3 years old. This innovative 10-week workshop provides parents with a model which Family Services calls reflective parenting that views children's behaviors as meaningful communications that need to be understood. During groups, parents explore their children's thoughts, feelings, and motivations, as well as their own. This process helps parents understand and respond to their children's behaviors in appropriate and sensitive ways.

"Father's First Steps." A small group program to help new fathers with the challenges of babies, develop confidence in their parenting and build a secure relationship with their babies. Fathers will explore what babies need to thrive, why attachment is vital for babies, how to be confident in their parenting style, the importance of the fathers' role, and ways to maintain the relationship with their partner.

Classes and Groups at Birth and Beyond-Seattle:

"First Weeks." Donation-suggested support group for mothers, infants, and families from birth to 12 weeks. New parent survival skills, breastfeeding support, information about soothing babies, and more.

"Let's Talk About Sleep." Group meets once a month in Seattle.

"Next Months". Donation-suggested support group for families and their infants from 3 - 6 months of age. Support and information about infant development, feeding, and predictable challenges of babies this age are discussed.

Cooper House. Provides therapy and developmental support for young children and their families. Loving relationships are the foundation of early emotional development. Children develop confidence and manage their feelings and impulses more effectively when they feel safe and nurtured. We know all parents want the best for their young children and try to create relationships that are loving and harmonious. But sometimes problems creep into the picture and make the first few years of the child’s life more difficult than they need to be. Little Miracles. Mom and baby support group. A variety of topics are covered in this group, such as socialization, sleep, feeding, and safety issues. Meets Tuesdays from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for 0 - 6 month olds; Tuesdays from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm for 6 - 12 month olds. Located at the Family Birth Center at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup; 407 14th Avenue SE. Fee is $10 per month, drop in basis. Nurturing Mom & Baby Support Group. Come join our postpartum Doula, Magdalena Hamilton, in a conversation on life with baby. She will lead a weekly support group in topics on organization, siblings, dad, baby blues, sleep and many more pertinent topics. Mom and Baby Support Group. FREE group for moms and babies that meets every Wednesday at Tacoma General Hospital, to address current issues and adjustments. Group for 0 - 6 months: 10:30 am - 11:30 am; 6 - 12 months: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Call 800.342.9919 for more information.

Mommy and Me Tea. Pierce County, Tacoma, Dash Point, and Gig Harbor. FREE event, sponsored by Bates Technical College, moms and babies 0 - 6 months meet with a parent/child specialist for socialization and support in postpartum parenting. Call 253.680.7511 for locations and times.

Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS). Offering various support groups for new parents. Newborn Program is for parents with babies under four months old; day and evening groups available. Baby Peppers is for parents and older babies. Little Peppers is for families with two children under the age of three. Groups meet for 8 – 12 weeks. Each week, parents discuss the highs and lows of parenting, sing songs, and discuss topics of interest. Cost range is $150 – 200. Scholarships available for those who qualify. Resource Library, located at Peacock Playtime,www.peacockplaytime.com in Rolling Bay, Bainbridge Island. Francie Powell and Sarah Townsend are developing a resource library for families with young children, birth to six. Resources will include books and handouts regarding childbirth, community support, parenting, child development, preschools, car seat and other safety information. Francie and Sarah will be available on Tuesdays from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Peacock Playtime to assist anyone in need of resource information or support. In addition, they will continue to offer a support group for Postpartum Depression and Anxiety on an as-needed basis. The 4th Trimester. Weekly, drop-in, 90 minute group invites new parents to share questions, concerns, and experiences. A digital baby scale will be available. As group facilitators we will provide support, information, education, and resources. Group facilitators have completed the postpartum mood disorder certificate training through Postpartum Support International. Thriving Instead of Just Surviving. Postpartum preparation class at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle. This 2-hour class will give expectant and new parents tools and understanding to help ensure an easier adjustment to life with new baby and postpartum recovery. Cost is $40 per couple. Valley Medical Center Parent Support Groups. FREE Every Wednesday.  The excitement of becoming a parent usually comes with questions and concerns. Our parent support groups offer new parents a valuable resource to meet other parents and have children meet and play with other children their age. If you have questions about what other parents may do about sleeping, soothing, feeding, teething, or have other questions, attend one of the groups. The groups are facilitated by VMC's lactation consultants.
